Today, knowledge about the harmful effects of the sun on the skin calls for prudence, and a tan has become passé. An example is given by many famous characters from the world of film, who care for their “porcelain” complexion. Opponents of intensive tanning are, among others Renee Zell-weger, Anne Hathaway and Nicole Kidman, who in interviews emphasize that the recipe for nice skin is to use protective creams, because the sun damages the skin and makes it age old.
